GT21XF/GT30XF Flow Totalizer: A Precision Core Device for Industrial Fluid Metering

In the trade settlement and process measurement management of industries such as petroleum, chemical engineering, and metallurgy, flow totalizers are key equipment for achieving accurate statistics of fluid media. As precision instruments centered on high-performance ARM microprocessors, the GT21XF/GT30XF flow totalizers have become important choices for industrial fluid metering due to their flexible adaptability and accurate calculation capabilities.

1. Core Product Positioning and Application Scenarios

The GT21XF/GT30XF is an intelligent flow totalizer based on the ARM Cortex-M3 32-bit RISC core, which needs to be used with various flow transmitters and sensors. Its core function is to complete accurate flow calculation for the characteristics of different fluid media (such as liquids and gases) through multiple sets of flow mathematical models. At the same time, it integrates full-process functions including on-site data collection, real-time display, automatic control, remote transmission, communication interaction, and report printing, which can form a digital data acquisition and monitoring system.

Currently, this device has been widely used in industries such as petroleum, chemical engineering, metallurgy, power, light industry, medicine, and urban gas. It can either act as a single device to complete local process measurement or be connected to an enterprise measurement management network to support cross-scenario trade settlement and data coordination.

2. Core Configurations and Functions of GT21XF and GT30XF

2.1 Common Basic Configurations

The two devices share consistent core performance and basic functions:

  • Display and Accuracy: Both adopt 128*64 dot-matrix LCD displays (GT21XF uses a monochrome screen), with display and measurement accuracy reaching ±0.2% F.S., which can meet high-precision metering requirements in industrial scenarios.
  • Processor: Both are equipped with the ARM Cortex-M3 32-bit RISC core, which has efficient data operation and processing capabilities and can quickly complete multi-model flow calculations.
  • Input Functions: Support multi-type signal access— the flow channel is compatible with analog signals (4-20mA, 0-10mA); the frequency channel covers 0-5000Hz (adapts to high and low levels); the temperature channel supports Pt100 thermal resistance signals; the pressure channel is compatible with 0-10mA and 4-20mA analog signals, which can adapt to most industrial sensors.
  • Output and Communication: Equipped with 2 relay outputs, 2 groups of 24V feed outputs (30mA per group), 1 group of 12V feed outputs (60mA), and 1 analog output, which meets the needs of control and external device power supply. The communication interface supports both RS232C and RS485, which can be flexibly connected to industrial buses.
  • Environment and Net Weight: The operating temperature range is 0~50°C (avoid direct sunlight), humidity is 0~85% RH (no condensation), altitude is ≤2000 meters, and the net weight of the instrument is ≤1.0Kg, which is suitable for the installation environment of most industrial sites.

2.2 Differentiated Functional Design

The core differences between the two devices focus on report backup and power supply:

  • Report Backup: The GT21XF has no report backup function; while the GT30XF supports report backup and transfer, is compatible with USB1.1 and 2.0 protocols, and can directly store report data through 1G to 32G U disks, which is more suitable for scenarios that require long-term data archiving and traceability.
  • Power Supply: The GT21XF supports two power supply methods: 220VAC/50Hz and 220VDC/50Hz, which is suitable for scenarios dominated by commercial power; the GT30XF supports 24VDC (18VDC-36VDC) and 12VDC (9VDC-18VDC) DC power supply, which is more suitable for scenarios without commercial power such as field and mobile devices.

3. Product Value and Scenario Application Summary

As a series of flow totalizers, GT21XF and GT30XF share the advantages of high precision, multi-signal adaptation, and full-function integration, and cover different scenarios through differentiated designs: GT21XF is suitable for conventional industrial metering scenarios with stable commercial power and no need for long-term report archiving; GT30XF is more suitable for complex scenarios with DC power supply and requiring offline storage of report data. Together, they provide a flexible and accurate solution for industrial fluid metering and are important terminal devices in modern industrial metering management networks.
